FREE 4-WEEK TRAINING
for Non-Profit Innovation and Social Enterprises

4 consecutive Sundays: September 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th from 2pm-4pm
at Jacoby Arts Center (627 E. Broadway, Alton, Illinois 62002)

As the Small Business Revolution continues to spread across Madison County, please join Alton Main Street,
Chris Miller for County Treasurer, and his new Alton RISING, for a free workshop series focused on helping “social” entrepreneurs and innovative nonprofits test and refine new approaches to generate revenue for their missions, as well as provide a space for existing nonprofits to explore opportunities for new programs, products, or services. The four-week bootcamp will be led by two serial entrepreneurs, Chris Miller and Alice Layton, both of whom also serve as professors of entrepreneurship at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

social enterprise is a revenue-generating business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are reinvested for that purpose in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to deliver profit to shareholders and owners.
